Assemblywoman Lupardo to Seek Re-Election

-Releases video announcement-

Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo (D-Endwell) released a video announcing her plans to run for re-election to the NYS Assembly. She plans to focus the campaign on her ongoing efforts to address the challenges we face, while also celebrating the progress we’ve made.

In the video, Lupardo says: “For nearly 20 years I have thought about the health and well-being of the people of the City of Binghamton, and the Towns of Union and Vestal. I’ve thought about how to make our community more affordable, a place where people will want to work, live, and raise a family; a place where everyone gets a fair shake. Over the years, I’ve helped bring in new economic opportunities, passed important legislation, and questioned long held beliefs about what this place could become.”

Assemblywoman Lupardo’s campaign will talk about her work to address basic issues of concern such as healthcare, education, food security, housing, workforce training, child care, and public safety.  Environmental protection and the effects of climate change are other top issues. She will also highlight the many positive developments she has spearheaded at the state and local levels.

A senior member of the NYS Assembly, Lupardo holds many leadership positions including Chair of the Assembly Committee on Agriculture & Food and Co-Chair of the Legislative Aviation Caucus.  She is a member of the Economic Development, Higher Education, Transportation, Rules, and Steering Committees. She previously Chaired the Committees on Children and Families and Aging.

Lupardo lives in Endwell, with her husband Scott Peters, a Professor at Cornell University, along with their cat Zuzu.
