In the last ten years, the campus has seen tremendous growth expanding its main campus in Vestal, as well as into our urban cores. Some of the most important research being done in the SUNY system is occurring at the Innovative Technologies Complex, home of the Small Scale Systems Integration and Packaging (S3IP) Center of Excellence, just one block east of the main campus. Assemblywoman Lupardo secured millions of dollars through the State Budget to help build the four new buildings at the ITC. These include the Engineering and Science Building, the Biotechnology Building, the Center of Excellence Building, and most recent, the Smart Energy Building. The high-tech research being conducted here is a central part of our economic growth.
