Help Celebrate 100 Years of Women’s Suffrage in New York

2017 marks the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage in New York State and the Broome-Tioga Suffrage Anniversary Committee (BTSAC) has been formed to create a yearlong celebration.
The committee is co-chaired by Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo and Tioga County Legislative Chair Martha Sauerbrey and is comprised of members from a number of community organizations.
If you have ideas for events, memorabilia for display, or want to learn more, you can email the committee at You can also receive updates from BTSAC by following the group on Facebook and Twitter.
BTSAC is also encouraging local businesses and residents to help decorate the community with the colors of suffrage. If you’re interested in ordering decorative yellow, white, and purple bunting, click here to learn more.
