The Broome County Humane Society cares for approximately 700 animals annually. That number required the Humane Society to build a new facility to better serve the animals until they find their forever homes. In 2016, Assemblywoman Lupardo secured a $250,000 Assembly Capital Grant towards the $1.2 million campaign to build the Humane Society’s new building on Conklin Avenue in Binghamton. The following summer, the facility officially opened its doors and continues to provide high quality care for hundreds of dogs and cats each year as they work to place them in loving homes.

Assemblywoman Lupardo and Karen Matson of the Humane Society announce details of funding Lupardo secured to help build the new facility on Conklin Ave. in Binghamton.
